| Locate the in-ground valve box, it should be near where the zone is watering. They all look like this, but sometimes the lid is upside down. You might need a regular screwdriver to pry open the lid. | |
| Open the lid and listen for the running of water to make sure you have the right zone. Most of the time there is more than one valve per box. So you will have to feel each valve to detect water movement. | |
| Turn off the large knob located in the center of the valve - this is marked by the RED arrow in the picture to the right. Turn the knob clockwise for quite a few rotations - you might need a pair of pliers to assist in the turning procedure. Wait for the water to stop. You then can open it again in hopes that the valve will reset on its own. If it continues to run, you will have to turn it back off again and proceed to the step below. | |
If the knob won't turn (try using some pliers), or turning the knob all the way down won't stop the watering you will have to shut the entire Starbuck system off at the source by closing the three backflow valves. Go here for that information. |
Note the position of the levers. |
